I was born and lived in California until November 2009 when we moved to Snohomish.
I am married to Buddy who is retired and supports all my hair brain ideas. I have two daughters, the eldest lives in California with her husband and my two grandsons, ages 3 and 4. My youngest daughter is in Australia and hoping to get dual citizenship this year.
When I married Buddy, I inherited a step daughter and three step sons and from them we have a grandson and four granddaughters, ages not quite 1 to 21 years old.
I have always done craft work. I started scrapbooking when I was a kid, and it was nothing more than putting your pictures and memorabilia in a book, to now with all the fun embellishments. I love jewel tone colors and sparkle. My inspiration comes from the pictures, colors or nature around us, especially the ocean. I also quilt and sew. In the past I have done stain glass, flower arranging, paper mache, decoupage, beading, ceramic, sea shell crafts, and anything I need around the house.
My winter project was scanning all my negatives and pictures into the computer. Unfortunately, it appears it will be next winter’s project as well. In the summer, I garden and grow our food and preserve it so I don’t have to cook all the time.
Authentique - Lovely Layout Dale designed this sweet layout about her and her hubby, Buddy, using the Authentique line "Lovely." Lovely is a beautiful, romantic line with reds, pinks, and blacks. Something for everyone in this Valentine's day line. Great use for weddings, friendship, classroom card exchanges, and heritage layouts. Using the stripe paper for the background, Dale continued to layer with a fabulous designed lace heart. Dale used the We R Memory Keepers Lucky 8 punch, Retro Scallop, and folded her paper and carefully punched the scallop edge out and the went back and hand punched the little circles out. The result, a beautiful doily heart! Dale also used the accessories from the 6x6" paper kit, cut out the keys from the 12x12" paper and put glossy accents on them to bring more life to them, and dyed flowers to match the Bo Bunny smaller red flowers. The perfect final touch, the black lace ribbon from Bo Bunny. Yes, a perfect romantic layout! Watch the video here 12/18/2012 Doodlebug - North Pole Dale created this fabulous spread with so many amazing little details that she made! Starting with Doodlebug's "North Pole" line, Dale punched out little candies, added Stickles Glitter Glue, used Doodlebug's alphabet sticker sheet with Stickles Glittler Glue, We R Memory Keepers Lucky 8 punch "Retro Scallop" for matting and the photo. Used Scor Tape with gold glitter along the top and bottom. Wow!Watch the video here Bo Bunny - Serenade  Dale created two fabulous projects featuring the Bo Bunny line "Serenade." The colors are rich and vibrant, a must see! Dale's two page layout for a wedding turned out gorgeous! Hand cutting flowers, adding Pop! Microbeads and gold around the center made them lifelike. The colors in the paper line matched the dress wonderfully! Dale's second creation was with the mini chipboard album from the line. The book comes decorated and Dale added her own embellishments to it. I enjoy how Dale used more than one trip in the book but used photos of her trips with friends throughout. Dale's treat tubes are amazing! The chocolate candies look to die for! What a great gift! Watch the video here. Reminisce - Here Comes Santa Layout Dale created this great layout featuring the new Christmas line from Reminisce "Here Comes Santa." Using maroon flowers over the holly on the paper added a great 3D effect! Watch the video here Reminisce - Autumn Harvest Layout American Crafts - Shoreline - Travel Album Dale created this over-the-top impressive book with the Bo Bunny My Word Album, Travel, and American Crafts line, "Shoreline." Dale made a second page for each letter and added pull out tabs to be able to add more pictures. Using the camera mistables, wood veneers, and baker's twine, throughout the album tied it all extremely well together. Plus, using a ribbon to hold it together was a perfect finishing touch. Adore!Watch the You Tube Video Here Authentique - Fresh - Dale created these cards with the idea of showing off the scallop paper "clear" with these three cards. We use scallop borders all the time in scrapbooking and card making, what a great idea to use actual scallops to do it! Watch the video here Arizona Layout Dale created this layout featuring our state papers. We have all 50 states in papers, stickers, die cuts, and state shaped embellishments. A great selection for your US travel needs.Using the orange papers with the light wave print, it gave a feel of Arizona heat. Dale used the Bo Bunny Double Dots and the Lucky 8 punch Retro Scallop to create the sun. The "Arizona" title on the right came from our state paper. Basic Grey Canvas with SEI Field Notes Watch the Video here Using Basic Grey's Canvas, SEI "Field Notes" line, and Dale's creative mind with old buttons, she made this masterpiece. How fun are the old buttons? We all have a stash of them - a good tip to get more old looking buttons is to shop for older shirts at thrift shops. Plus, Dale's idea of making it either a jewelry holder or key holder, is a great way to make it functional as well. Reba's New Home Dale created this design for me featuring Queen & Co's pet line and rhinestone embellishment, Paper House's dog stickers, and Jolee's Paw Print stickers.
