Heather Nash

I am 28 years old, have been married for almost 10 years and have 2 boys aged 5 and 8. For the last 4 years I have been lucky enough to stay at home with them and love it on most days. With the added time at home you would think I had more time to craft but... My crafting and scrapbooking gets done in spurts which is why when I heard about the design team I figured it would be perfect. I have been looking for a way to stay more on top of my creations and more knowledgeable about different products and techniques.

While scrapbooking I like to have the pictures be the focal point so I try to keep it simple. I have found that I like making mini books for the kids. They look at them so often that it makes all of the work worth it. Card making is another project that I like to do. I try to make each card special enough that the person that gets it will keep it rather than it send it off to recycle.

I am a firm believer that photos should be out and displayed and what better way to do it than in a fun, creative way. I know that the design team will help keep me on my toes with my paper crafting.

Basically Bare Casually Covered Album - Authentique Renew

Heather designed this bright, cheerful mini book with the latest line from Authentique, "Renew" and a new album style from Basically Bare called "Casually Covered."

Heather inked all the edges, added ribbon to the spine to add flare, went around pictures with Washi Tape, added pockets, embossed the acrylic, and more.

Authentique - Lovely

Heather created this fabulous art piece using the Authentique Line, Lovely, along with family heirlooms from her grandparents and great grandparents. She used twine to tie the items to the Creative Imaginations box so they can be removed if needed. This is a fabulously done piece, I hope you get a chance to come by the store to admire it.

SRM Mini Calendar

Heather created this fabulous mini desk calendar for her husband's work. He asked for something small with photos in it to have at work and to be able to add more photos to it. Heather to the rescue! This little book turned out so cute! A great way to use all the papers that she had leftover from her Design Team kits this year! Each month opens up to family photos with coordinating papers and embellishments. We know her husband's co-workers will be jealous :) Great work Heather!

Bo Bunny - Mistletoe

Heather created these bright, cheery layout featuring the Bo Bunny collection "Mistletoe."

Cutting apart the papers to make borders and accents pieces across the layout was a wonderful touch. I love the reusing of materials that Heather found around the house for the tag holders. There are 3 tags in each project, with a great way to add more photos to a layout, and each tag is a different design.

We R Memory Keepers - Black Widow Layout

Heather made this fabulous Halloween layout featuring We R Memory Keepers "Black Widow" line. The line features over 10 papers and lots of stickers, die cuts, and embellishments, making it an awesome line to work with! I love the baker's twine design on the right page and the use of clothespins for popping up the title on the left side. The banner is a great way to use scraps and I adore the idea of using buttons in the middle instead of using a phrase!

Authentique - Curiosity - Layout

Heather created this great back to school page with the Authentique "Curiosity" line. Using the tag paper, she made a fun grouping on the left with a clothespin and baker's twine. The letters are the initials of her boys, a very nice touch to the layout. "Say Cheese" - adding the wood veneer camera to the center is perfect! On the right side, making a photo into a pocket to add some more tags and "Things I'm Curious About" and filled in some things from the boys input. Great layout Heather!

October Afternoon - Woodland Park - Chipboard Album

Heather Nash, Design Team member, created this amazing book starting with the Echo Park Interactive pull tabs chipboard book and October Afternoon's "Woodland Park" line. Plus, using Studio Calico Mistables and Wood Veneer cameras as fun embellishments throughout the book. Heather created the rosette flowers and put coordinating brads in the center and in the middle of the cameras. All the pull out tabs are ready for journaling her photos.
