Kathy LoganI'm a wife, mother of four (two by birth, and two by adoption), and crafter. I enjoy crafts, baking, outdoor activities, and doing pretty much anything with my family. I have been stamping for about 15 years now and scrapbooking for approximately 12. Like many crafters, I've tried many different crafts over the years (painting, sewing, stamping, scrapping, jewelry making and more), but I continue to come back to stamping and scrapbooking. I recently began working for a paycheck again after being a stay-at-home mom for years. My current "challenge" is to try to make time to create on a regular basis. Being part of the ScrapVille design team is helping me do that! I feel honored to be a part of this group of talented women. Little Yellow Bicycle - Just Because  Kathy designed these vibrant cards with the Little Yellow Bicycle Line "Just Because." Using the soft "Red, White, and Blue" theme papers with the fun accessories Little Yellow Bicycle is known for, Kathy made a variety of themes for her cards. As well, Kathy used this line for a layout. With a neutral background, the soft blue and red pop off the page, making it eye catching and earthy, capturing the feeling of the hiking photos. Wonderful job as always by Kathy. Watch the video Here 2/5/2013 Basically Bare Delightful Doors Album with Authentique Lovely Kathy has done it again! Using the new Basically Bare "Delightful Doors" book and Authentique "Lovely" with lots of additional fun touches, Kathy made this amazing book!First off, I have to say my favorite part is the red zipper heart on the front! So cool! Then, I love the Bazzill Clear Rhinestones throughout the book for dotting the "i." Kathy took the book apart, covered it completely, repunched the pages with her Bind it All machine, and placed the pages in the order she wanted to. Using Sharpie Paint Pens on acrylic worked wonderfully too. Alcohol based pens/inks would work on the acrylic as well. The front is just a tease, be sure to watch the video for the whole effect! Click here. 1/17/2013 Authentique - Renew Kathy created this eye catching layout with the upcoming January collection from Authentique, "Renew."Authentique revamped their collections and added in die cut sheets, giving Kathy puzzle pieces, and the black and white pocket as well. Kathy sewed pieces of the paper on the teal paper with black thread. I love this stitching because you have to piece together a puzzle, so piecing the paper together has a great feeling to it. Kathy cut out the letters on her Cricut to match the matting of the photos as well. Kathy used the puzzle pieces like you would use flowers, grouping them together and showing each of the phrases of. I adore this fresh, bright layout! Watch the video here 12/18/2012 American Crafts - XOXO - Banner Check out this amazing, eye popping, banner Kathy made! Using the American Crafts paper line, "XOXO," as her base to cover the chipboard pennants, Kathy continued to make this spectacular project. Kathy dyed Worn Lipstick distress stain on seam binding for the perfect little bows. Yes, she did these bows by hand. If you need help with your bows, tie the banner together, use the Bow Easy, and a glue dot to attach the bow to the banner, and no one will know the difference! On the top of each pennant, Kathy added black stripe washi tape, finished the bottom with Bo Bunny Black Lace Ribbon, and then out the letters, circles, and scallop circles with the Cricut. You could punch out the circles with Marvy Punches, Die Cuts, etc. To finish the banner off, Kathy used "Bits" from the collection and a Bo Bunny pink flower. Watch the video here 12/18/2012 SRM 12x12 Calendar with Authentique Original Kathy turned SRM's 12x12 calendar into a fabulous handmade gift full of rich, beautiful layouts featuring the Authentique line "Original." The layouts will give your inspiration for your scrapbook everyday! Plus, using the Bo Bunny Calendar Clear Stamps, coloring them, and then turning them into stickers, what a spectacular finishing touch! My jaw dropped when Kathy turned this in. In love with it!SRM 12x12 Calendar Video - Click Here Fancy Pants - Home for Christmas Kathy design this fabulous two page spread with the Fancy Pants, "Home for Christmas" paper line. I didn't order any embellishments with this line but I loved the paper. So Kathy had a bit of a challenge on her hands to work with the papers and find ways to make it eye catching with other embellishments - And she is an awesome job! Adding American Crafts Thickers in Glitter White for the title, added stitching with the We R Memory Keepers "Sew Easy" cut out the reindeer from the paper for a "sticker", punched out the circles from paper and popped them up on foam for a button look. It's a wonderful creation! Reminisce - Here Comes Santa Believe Mini Book Kathy created this beautiful Christmas mini book with the Bo Bunny "My Word Album" and covered it with the new line from Reminisce "Here Comes Santa." I love the holly cut out for the front over the snowflakes! The seam binding ribbon dyed with Distress Stain in coordinating colors, a perfect touch! Watch the video here We R Memory Keepers - Hall Pass - Layout Kathy created this great double page layout featuring We R Memory Keepers "Hall Pass" collection and Studio Calico Wood Veneers and Mistables in Camera shapes. She also challenged herself to use the Lucky 8 punch, Floral Burst, with the layout. Using the punch as a template, she went around the edge with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and sponge to make it a two tone orange and created a bracket pattern on the basic orange paper. Plus, punched out a few patterned papers with the bracket shape to complete it. Finishing the layout with some touches of embellishments from the Hall Pass collection, Cricut letters, it all came together perfectly. Watch the video about here creation here. Authentique - Lively - Kathy Logan, member of our Design Team, created this double page layout with Authentique's paper line "Lively." This is beautiful line with pinks, greens, browns, and bit of orange and the sticker sheets offer great phrases for your layout! Watch the Video Here Pebbles - Let Freedom Ring Kathy created this double page layout featuring Pebbles's Independence Day line "Let Freedom Ring." I love the grid paper for the calendar and Basic Grey's PB&J stickers for "July" on this layout! Along with Tim Holtz Word Bands with seam binding for the titles for pictures. Fabulous layout! Both are made from one kit.
Watch the video here   American Crafts - Gardenia line I enjoy that Kathy often uses solids or light patterns such as Bo Bunny Double Dots for her main pages and cuts up the paper from the line to accent the photos. It brings your attention to the patterned paper. I catch myself reading the words in the paper and enjoy the bright butterflies. Basic Grey - Plumeria Cards Feed Back on Designs |
