Hi! And welcome to the Product Review Section of ScrapVille's website. Recently, I have been using tools and various items - some new to the market, some that have been out for a long time and when I love something, I want to share it with everyone! So, I decided to start putting reviews out of products - whether they are new or old to the market. Hopefully, you enjoy my comments, ideas, pictures, and hopefully a few videos.

White/Light colored products and coloring them

My first trip to CHA in January 2011 I noticed several white products and how different companies colored them to coordinate with their project. Well, this was right up my alley! Sometimes you just can't find the right color, but if you can do it yourself, your problem is solved. I started to carry more white products and would tell people to color them with their Copic Markers, Smooch Spray, Distress Inks, etc. And yesterday, I finally received 20 colors of Distress Stain. I am showing it off at Saturday, March 17th demo from 11-1pm on white ribbon. I love that my ribbon now matches the flower that I made. It's a great finishing touch.

So, this product review I showed a variety of ribbons before and after using the Barn Door Distress Stain. All my ribbon coordinate now! Please take this review and start to think differently about white or light colored products when you see them. Think of them as "undone" and you get to finish them your way. You'll love the results!

-Allows you to match everything!
-If you look closely at the "Before" example, you can see the leaf ribbon is cream and the other ribbons are white. However, with the stain, they are all matching Barn Door Red!
- Opens up new possibilities and let's your creative juices flow

- Does take a little more time
- Messier than just buying matching/coordinating products
- A little more planning time
